Walking the T1D
Tightrope
This original painting which auctioned off for $11.5K to raise money for Breakthrough Type One Diabetes is now available as a print. To read about the inspiration behind this piece and my involvement in the Children’s Project click below!
This painting was inspired by the daily reality of living with Type 1 Diabetes. The thin line that moves through the piece is made from real 12-hour CGM blood sugar graphs drawn by 13 youth ambassadors from the Breakthrough T1D South Central Texas Chapter. I connected their graphs into one continuous path to form a line that symbolizes a tightrope. Much like walking on a tightrope, managing T1D requires constant balance and adjustment of blood sugar levels throughout the day, with many factors such as food, exercise, stress, and hormones affecting those numbers. At the bottom of the painting, the line leads into a garden scene, symbolizing hope for healing - whether through a cure in this lifetime or complete healing in eternity with God.

My Snail Mail Club
Every two months you'll receive a 5”x7" or 6”x6” art print specially designed for my snail mail members. Every piece is wrapped thoughtfully alongside a printed letter. This letter may contain my reflections on a topic, quotes I’ve come across recently, or the inspiration behind the artwork. Prints are made using archival fine art paper and sent in protective packaging, ready to frame, gift, or pin to your wall.
One lucky subscriber will open their package to find a Golden Ticket. This envelope will include the original painting tucked inside instead of a print.
How it works:
Prints are shipped out every other month: January, March, May, July, September, and November.
Your first print will ship to you the next scheduled release after you join. For example:
Sign up in January or February → receive the March print
Sign up in March or April → receive the May print
Sign up in May or June → receive the July print
(and so on)
You’ll be billed every 2 months from your signup date.
International snail mail takes 1-3 weeks to arrive from the shipping date. All cancellations take effect the following billing cycle.
